About Us

Jobst and Charlotte Bittner are founders and leaders of TOS, a Christian ministry based in Tübingen, Germany. A team of 30 leaders, both full-timers and volunteers, supports them in their ministry.

When they came to Tübingen 40 years ago to study, they had no intention of staying in the city.

But God had different plans, and when they got together with other students to pray, this brought forth a lively church ministry. Over the years they built up the ministry of TOS as it is today with all of its local, national and international branches.

It is Jobst and Charlotte’s vision to see entire cities and nations changed and transformed by the power of God’s love. At the same time it is their hearts’ desire to actively meet the needs of the individual in word and deed. Through their ministry thousands heard the gospel over the past years, far beyond the borders of Tübingen. 12 new churches were planted within Germany and abroad. They have planted long term projects for street children in five countries of Latin America; in Belarus, Siberia and Greece they have planted successful rehabilitation programs for drug addicts. In Argentina and Bolivia, Jobst Bittner initiated national prayer movements with more than 60,000 intercessors from different churches and denominations.

Jobst has a degree in Theology from the University of Tübingen, Charlotte has a degree in Ancient History. They have two sons and live in Tübingen.
